Our Programmes

The Centre has students from two to eighteen years of age who suffer from a wide range of physical and mental disabilities including cerebral palsy, hyperactivity, autism, blindness, down syndrome, global developmental delay etc.

We currently have about 60 children out of whom about 20 are in various stages of immobility who need physiotherapy. Occupational Therapy is provided for most of the children to strengthen their balance and fine motor skills, while a part-time speech therapist helps them achieve their maximum communication potential.

Our Programmes

The children are also taught :-

  • EIP (Early Intervention Programme)
  • Pre-Kinder classes for selected children
  • Pre-vocational programme for children aged 13 & above
  • Self-help skills
  • Speech Therapy for communication, even for those without speech abilities
  • Art and craft
  • Gym Classes (to stimulate the senses of the more mobile students)
  • Sensory Integration/Soft Playroom for students with gravitational insecurities
  • Interpersonal and socialization skills &
  • other skills as necessary to help the child cope with everyday living through individualised, systematic and structured teaching and learning programmes.

The Centre follows the government school terms for the EIP classes while the therapy sessions are available throughout term holidays.

Classes are from Mondays to Fridays and run in two sessions. The first session is from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon while the second session starts from 12.00 noon to 4.00 p.m. The children come in for either session, two to five days a week.
